A new date has been added to the calendar for Blackpool International Fireworks Competition 2012 following the cancellation of the scheduled fireworks display from Brezac Artifices from France last Friday due to high wind speeds.
The good news for this Friday, 21st September is that the current weather forecast is better for the fireworks display with a predicted North-easterly wind speed of 16kph and with sunshine predicted for Saturday and Sunday this could be a splendid weekend to visit Blackpool.
The fireworks display for this Friday 21st September remains as scheduled Howard & Sons Fireworks all the way from Australia with the cancelled fireworks display rescheduled for Friday 28th September when Brezac Artifices from France will provide the display.
A new date has been added for Sunday 30th September with the final fireworks display of this years event a non competing display from Kimbolton Fireworks followed by prize giving.
With two massive Blackpool fireworks displays in one weekend and a weather forecast for fine weather the last weekend in September must be the finest weekend out in England for pyrotechnics lovers and those who enjoy the wonderful Blackpool hospitality.
All the Blackpool International Fireworks Competition events start at 7.30pm with first ignition at 8.30pm arrive early on the promenade to get a good viewpoint with upwards sixty thousand visitors expected there is an electric atmosphere and plenty of room for all spectators on Blackpool’s newly rebuilt promenade.
